Cider Mill Vandalism Reported

By webmaster - Posted on Oct 4, 2011

Vandalism occured between 6:30pm on Oct. 4 at the Mill, just after closing.

In an email from Katie Chase (Jack & Sandy's daughter):

We wanted to alert the association of the vandalism and ask the residents for assistance with notifying us of anyone trespassing on the property before and after hours. My Dad contacted me tonight (Tues, Oct. 4) to tell me that there was some vandalism that occured between 6:30-7pm tonight at the Mill, just after closing. There was a lot of damage that happened during a short period of time and it's quite disappointing. We certainly appreciate any support the Association can give us.

Enbridge's pipeline replacement through Hartland and Tyrone Twp could start in 2012

By webmaster - Posted on Sep 30, 2011

Recently, PCA secretary Linda Harwood reached out to the Enbridge public affairs office with some questions.

  1. Are all the pipelines gaslines?
  2. Do you plan to change any of the pipelines to oil, or increase pressure in the lines?
  3. Due to the high water table in our area, how old are the connections and do you believe they are safe?

Here was Enbridge's response:

Fun Fact

"Dogpatch" was once a nickname for Parshallville. People would come to drop off their unwanted dogs, creating a population of strays. The name was a reference to the satirical comic strip Li'l Abner that appeared in newspapers from 1934-1977 featuring colorful citizens of fictional Dogpatch, Kentucky, set in the Appalachian hills.
