Parshallville loses Rita Siwik

By webmaster - Posted on May 3, 2011

The Parshallville Community Association was saddened to hear of the loss of Rita Siwik on Thursday, April 28, 2011, losing to a long-term illness she had been fighting. Rita was a Trustee of the PCA and opened her lovely home to us many times. Rita’s husband, Ed, was also a Trustee and continued as our Board Treasurer for several years. We extend our condolences to Ed and their family and an offer of help should they need to call upon us.

Send requests to Diane Detter,

Fun Fact

During the 1870's, Parshallville was a thriving business community with two general stores, a grist mill, cider mill, shoe shop, four blacksmiths, a foundry, cheese factory, post office, and a doctor's office.
